End of Year Information

Your student is now into the second quarter of school and there are a number of activities planned for the end-of-the-year.   Students need to follow the rules in order to NOT jeopardize their involvement in these.   Second semester begins on January 19, 2010.   Any misbehavior will result in negative consequences for end-of-the-year activities. Review the rules!

•  Reminder to all students, especially 8 th graders !    You must get to school on time!   Six unexcused tardies to first period will give you a "u" in citizenship, which will also eliminate your participation in all end-of-the-year activities, i.e. Extravaganza, Magic Mountain , swim party, movie, etc.

•  Remember that the following rules for end-of-the-year activities go into effect January 19, 2010. The following will eliminate a student from the end of the year trip and the other social activities:

  1. A 1.5 GPA (cumulative for 6 th , 7 th , and 8 th grades) must be maintained
  2. Students must have 80% attendance for 6 th , 7 th , and 8 th grades
  3. Having any unexcused absences, which qualify a student as a truant
  4. Citizenship & Work Habits: One U or three Ns will disqualify a student
  5. NO Suspensions (OCS, ASD or APC)
  6. Having any more than 5 individual administratively assigned detentions (lunch and OCS)
  7. Bus Tickets:   Any behavior that has resulted in removal from the bus may result in being taken off the Magic Mountain list
  8. All Textbooks:   must be turned in and damages paid.   Lost books must be paid for
  9. All Fees must be paid.   Cafeteria, Library, P.E. uniforms or locks, Woodshop, Music, etc.

Most of these requirements are the same for 6 th and 7 th graders.   Students will have more information as we get closer to the events.
